Divestment of department tightens focus on core business with Celenia
Celenia Software a/s has sold the business unit that concerns itself with integration solutions for electronic payment systems. The buyers are a group of now former employees, private investors and an investment fund. With this, Celenia sharpens their focus at the core business that is services to Microsoft Dynamic's partners in Europe and North America.

The foundation stone sold
The sold business unit stands for instance for the products Payment Management and Collection Management as well as handling of the integration from e|faktura to the Microsoft Dynamics platform. Precisely Payment Management has been the cornerstone in the establishment of Celenia because the product was released in 1993. Today there are over 2,000 Danish companies using the product, making it one of the most common additional solutions for Microsoft Dynamics NAV. These products and the operation of the existing customers are taken over by the newly formed company in an active trade while all of the department's staff moves over into the new company, named Continia Software.

Focus on core business
However, the development of the whole company behind Celenia had a more globally oriented focus based on services for Microsoft Dynamics partners through Celenia development centers, currently located in Ukraine and Vietnam. Since the introduction of this business in 2001, this proportion has grown to be its absolute core with more than 80 % of the entire business, while still functioning foundation stone had suffered on the sidelines. "Therefore this divestment comes as a natural development that may prove to be a great benefit for both parties. Both companies will experience a stronger focus on their particular area," said Rex A. Clausager, CEO of Celenia.

Celenia Toolbox
Celenia will continue to maintain and develop tools like Celenia Integration Framework, Celenia Webfoms and Celenia Version Control that help Dynamics partners be more efficient in their development process. We will do that under the “Celenia ToolBox” umbrella where more tools will come soon.
