Easy and cost-effective data collection for Microsoft Dynamics NAV

A critical element was lacking when Ferroperm Piezoceramics implemented Microsoft Dynamics NAV: A solid solution for registering phases in the production process. This task is handled by Celenia Webforms, which has furthermore provided Ferroperm with knowledge that enables them to reorganize their business and make the production more profitable.

Define and publish Webforms in Microsoft Dynamics NAV
The individual webforms are easily defined and published within the familiar environment of Microsoft Dynamics NAV without programming skills.

Online access to NAV from your standard web browser
From your web browser you can create, modify or delete customers, orders, quotes and any other information that is accessible in Microsoft Dyna-mics NAV.

Call/show standard NAV Reports
With Celenia Webforms, you can reuse existing NAV reports directly from your web browser, for instance the standard order confirmation report.

Execute existing NAV logic from your webform
Celenia Webforms enable you to execute existing business logic in Microsoft Dynamics NAV. For instance, you can call the Release Order logic, which will execute the logic around releasing an order, such as calculating VAT in standard NAV fashion.

Show a single form in an IFRAME with Snap-In support
A single webform can make NAV data directly available as an IFRAME Snap-In in an intranet page or a Windows application that supports IFRAMEs, for instance Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft CRM. Different forms can also be linked to each other or to other data on a web page.

High security level
Create a personalized portal without compromising security. With Celenia Webforms, user profiles can be defined individually or in groups to give access to certain or all published Webforms. Creation, publishing and security set-up is done from Microsoft Dynamics NAV.

Celenia Webforms employ secure data transmission with encryption and compression to transfer data over the internet.

Supports any Microsoft NAV solution
Celenia Webforms can be used with any version of Microsoft Dynamics, and with both native database and SQL database.

Celenia Webforms for Microsoft Dynamics NAV is sold exclusively through Microsoft Partners.

System requirements for the router-service and back-end tiers
Before you install Celenia Webforms for Microsoft Dynamics NAV, you must install Integration Framework 2.0. Integration Framework must be installed on the web-server, router-service and back-end tiers. For system requirements for the router-Service and back-end tiers, please refer to the Integration Framework Installation and Setup Guide.

Recommended hardware capabilities
Pentium 800 MHz CPU, 256 MB RAM

Please note that these are hardware requirements for the web tier, which is a computer with IIS that hosts Webforms web application, not for the client computer from which the user will access Celenia Webforms through a web browser.

Software requirements for the web-server tier
Depending on the installation scheme you have employed (different options are described in the Celenia Webforms for Microsoft Dynamics NAV Overview chapter), you will need to meet different software requirements in order to run the Celenia Webforms for Microsoft Dynamics NAV software components on different tiers. In the list below, you will find all the software components you need to run the software.

Windows 2000 SP4, Windows XP Professional SP2, or Windows Server 2003 SP1
Microsoft .NET Framework 2.0
IIS 5.0 or later

Microsoft Dynamics NAV:

W1 3.60
W1 3.70A
W1 3.70B
W1 4.00
W1 4.00.01
W1 4.00.02
W1 4.00.03
W1 5.00.00

Please note: Normally, the Microsoft Dynamics NAV runtime (client program) and database must be the same (for example, Microsoft Dynamics NAV runtime W1 3.70B and Microsoft Dynamics NAV database W1 3.70B). For versions older than 3.60, Microsoft Dynamics NAV runtime version 3.60 must be used. For more information, please refer to Installing Microsoft Dynamics NAV Components.

Other components:
Celenia Integration Framework 2.0 or later

Software requirements for the client computer:
The client computer is the computer from which the user will access Webforms through the internet browser. Since all the logic and work is implemented on the web-server tier, the client computer works as a “thin” client. The only mandatory software is Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 SP1 and a Dynamics NAV web user license (only available for Dynamics NAV AM edition).
